Psyleron’s philosophy is that this important field of research will move along much more quickly if people are given information and an opportunity to become involved in it. As such, rather than being a “closed off” company that generates its research and technology in secret, our goal to make this work as accessible as possible, and also to facilitate discussion and collaboration amongst our users.
We have a few ways of doing this, the most substantial of which include our online data collection system and the open source element of the Psyleron Software Development Kit. Whereas the latter is targeted towards users with a strong technical background who wish to develop their own programs and applications of our technology, the former makes it possible for anyone to conduct their own REG related experiments and share their results with our online community.
The benefit of conducting research this way is that it makes it possible to rapidly accumulate data and build on our collective understanding of these consciousness effects in a way that has never been done before. Users can take it upon themselves to try new things and create their own unique forms of REG experiments. It also becomes possible to test for new things. If thousands of Psyleron users bring REGs to just a few venues over the course of a year, it will become very possible to look for correlations in the data that were previously impossible to detect. For example, we may find that certain days or times are universally more conducive to generating these effects - something that would have been very difficult or even impossible to discover with only a few isolated labs collecting data.
Aside from its implications for research, another important facet of the Psyleron Community is its focus on discussion and interaction between users. In spite of the rapid growing interest in these topics, many people still find that they do not have the opportunity to discuss their experiences with others.
This is disappointing given that the discussion of tips, strategies, and experiences, as reported by our users, seems to help them better understand themselves and create more significant effects while using the REG.
