The REG Lamp Overview

The Psyleron REG Lamp is a vibrant color changing lamp driven by an internal random event generator. The lamp colors smoothly change from red, yellow, green, blue, purple (and many others), depending on the behavior of the REG.

How It Works

Because consciousness can influence REGs, it can also influence the behavior of the lamp. While direct conscious intent can influence its color changing, indirect states of consciousness―such as your mood, level of excitement, social environment can influence the REG Lamp as well. Most users find the lamp to be very captivating. Some report it seems easier to consciously influence that other REG products, such as the REG-1 devices.

Example Uses

Experiencing Mental Influence: The lamp offers an alternative way to experience mental influence on random event generators. This can be more appealing to some, such as users without computers, or users who aren't interested research.

Social Events: The lamp can be particularly remarkable for parties or social situations. Set up one or more Lamps, and notice the colors change at interesting times: group focus, good conversations, and strong group cohesion. Moments meaningful to the group can change the color dynamics of the REG Lamp.

Interactive Decoration: More than just a unique conversation piece, the REG Lamp can respond to your intentional conscious influence, or can be left to run in the background to respond to indirect influences, as in a FieldREG mode.

The lamp is so much fun. The colors are amazing to stare into. What I've noticed about how it works (for me, anyway) is that it will hover around one color, slowly changing into another, until I spin around in my chair and engage it consciously. When I do, often its rate of change speeds up, and cycles through a number of colors. Then the color changing goes back to normal after a short while. I love it.

We have one of these in our office. Last Wednesday a few of us went up to the lamp and said, "Ok, let's all make it turn red." When we did, it changed pretty quickly from blue to green to red (with a flash of bright white in between) in about 30 seconds, and then stayed a deep red color for some time. We hadn't seen it work quite like that before.
