What is Psyleron?

Psyleron explores the connection between consciousness and physical reality. We are a company, research group, and public outreach organization.

Princeton Research

Psyleron is based on discoveries made at the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research laboratory. Under the direction of then Dean of Engineering Robert G. Jahn, a team of physicists, engineers, psychologists, and humanists spent 28 years rigorously studying the subject of mind-matter interaction.

In recurring studies, PEAR scientists asked human volunteers to influence a device called a random event generator with their thoughts. The REG is a device that measures quantum-level physical phenomena, and converts them into a digital output. According to prevailing theories in quantum mechanics, these outputs are fundamentally random and follow an expected statistical distribution.

The PEAR scientists, however, found that the human mind is capable of influencing the output of the REG and altering its statistical distribution. Their conclusion was that a subtle yet direct connection exists between the mind and the physical world.

Mind-Matter Technology

The PEAR discoveries open the door to fundamental new technologies. By using REGs in computer applications, or integrating them directly into other devices, the direct influence of consciousness on physical reality can be harnessed and utilized in many unique ways.

A New Company

Psyleron was formed with oversight from the PEAR laboratory, to develop applications, continue advanced research, and to promote the knowledge and meaningfulness of consciousness research in the public arena.

We have developed a full line of random event generator and software packages, which allow anyone to conduct basic mind-matter experiments, record and analyze data, play games, and develop unique applications of their own.

We also have a line of standalone products, such as the Psyleron Mind Lampa desk lamp that changes colors based on the behavior of an internal REG, and that can be influenced by the individual mind or by group consciousness. We collaborate with other research organizations to address scientific implications of consciousness-related phenomena, and we maintain an online community for users to share their experiences.
