Interpersonal Connections and Group Consciousness
Exploration with the REG has produced some interesting revelations about the
concept of collective consciousness. PEAR's FieldREG studies
demonstrated that REGs can respond to group interaction without their knowledge,
and the Global Consciousness Project demonstrates that a worldwide network of
REGs will produce anomalous results when significant world events occur.
What all of this suggests is that interpersonal connections and group
consciousness are powerful forces, capable of impacting the physical world. When
individuals come together, for a concert or football game, or for a workshop or
to brainstorm a business plan, or simply when large numbers of people focus on
the same thing, this collective or shared consciousness has an organizing
influence on the physical "space" around it. This space could be as small as a
single room, or as large as the planet.
Experience at Psyleron shows us that the REG-1 can be used as a kind of
"thermometer" for when groups of people are working together effectively. REG-1
feedback can be used to isolate the best features of group activity, and to
build upon them. We believe this to be a significant feature of consciousness
technology, and are actively developing applications to ehnance REG-1 feedback
for groups and organizations.
Our experience in consciousness research has led us to believe that all
consciousness is connected at some level, and that physical reality, to some
extent, is dictated by collective awareness. Perhaps this extent is small;
perhaps it is large. In any case, the remarkable implication is that by working
together, we are cable of changing reality.
