The Next Stage of Consciousness Research: Outside the Laboratory
For decades, basic REG research lived only in the PEAR laboratory. With the
existence of consciousness anomalies firmly established, the next step is to
explore its qualities and characteristics. We feel that such exploration will
move along more quickly if a community of explorers is involved. Rather than
being a "closed off" research and development company, Psyleron facilitates
participation and collaboration with interested users of all types, and shares
its own discoveries with the public.
Psyleron offers the REG-1 Package—the first Random Event Generator and software
package widely available to the public. The REG-1 allows users to directly
observe their minds' influence on random physical phenomena. Users can conduct
professional or amateur experiments, or integrate direct-to-consciousness
capabilities into their own software or hardware platforms, public performances,
or other demonstrations.
Psyleron operates the Psyleron Online Community, which is a forum for users to
interact, share tips, strategies, and experiences, and brainstorm on topics
related to consciousness and Consciousness Technology. The software package
bundled with the REG-1 allows users to remotely submit their date to the Online
Community, so large-scale data analysis can happen. If hundreds or thousands of
users' operating data is analyzed together, for example, new aspects of the
REG-consciousness effect might be uncovered. These types of revelations and body
of creative thinking would be impossible in isolated laboratory conditions.
