Personal Development

Personal Devlopment and Applications

Many Psyleron customers are focused on personal development. They use the Psyleron REG-1 and software modules to practice and improve upon their mind-matter ability. Most users report that practicing with the REG-1 leads to a stronger sense of interconnection to the world around them. They also report an increase in situations where their thoughts become manifest in their lives, even while not using the REG-1. The phenomenon observed in REGs may be at the heart of what is sometimes called "the power of manifestation," discussed in many popular books and films today, such as What the Bleep Do We Know, and The Secret.

According to our users, practicing with the REG-1 seems to open the "manifestation" channels of our minds. This bleeds over into our daily lives. Considering PEAR's study with the Random Mechanical Cascade, which suggested that consciousness can influence random macroscopic events (the events of our daily lives), just as much as random microscopic events (the probabilistic events of the REG), a feeling of improved "power of manifestation" makes sense (1).

The REG-1 can compliment other personal development programs. Most development programs seek to make the participant a more effective person. As such, the REG-1 is a unique tool for objectively measuring personal progress—as the user becomes more effective in the world, there is often a corresponding increase seen in effectiveness influencing an REG.

Yoga or meditation groups may use the REG-1 to chart their mental control, while someone reading the practical philosophies of The Secret may use the REG-1 to explore their own "power of manifestation."

Psyleron's experience is that a person's attitudes and beliefs are related to their performance in influencing the REG. Certain attitudes and beliefs seem to result in stronger effect sizes; certain others do not. In very general terms, attitudes characterized by confidence tend to produce better results overall, while those characterized by a lack of confidence produce less significant results.

An implication of this is the idea that there are certain mental and emotional approaches that are best suited for achieving positive results. You have probably experienced this without using the REG-1—perhaps you have noticed that events in your life fall together better when you're in the right mindset. Or perhaps as an artist or athlete, you have noticed that your activity "flows" when your mental and emotional attitudes are harmonious.

Using the REG-1 with the Reflector software modules you will be able to see first-hand which of your mental and emotional attitudes achieve the strongest effects on physical reality, and can learn to reach effective states with greater facility. While these subjective states will differ from person to person, many REG-1 users report a better understanding of the kind of attitudes most effective at achieving positive results after the first few sessions of practice. Once these attitudes are recognized, it becomes easier to reach these effective states and to see a corresponding strengthening of your influence on physical reality.

The role of personal beliefs in REG performance shouldn't be underestimated. The idea that our minds can directly affect physical reality is not taken for granted in our society. Nor is it generally part of our collective awareness. Because of this, it is safe to say that most people's belief systems are at least skeptical of the notion of mind-matter influence, if not in conflict with it.

Psyleron customers sometimes report that by using the REG-1, they have become aware of certain limiting beliefs, which they didn't know they had. Often, this manifests as fear of failure, performance anxiety, or sensations of the difficulty or impossibility of achieving strong effect sizes with the REG-1. Even when the customer is aware of the decades of research highlighting the mind's ability to influence random event generators, irrational and limiting beliefs may still persist.

Indeed, there may be several levels of belief in our psyches. A "working," or superficial level of belief contains the presumptions that we are aware we posess—those that we knowingly choose to believe or choose not to believe. A second, more fundamental and deep-seated level contains the beliefs that are axiomatic to ourselves and our culture. This is the realm of presumptions made about how the world works, about what is possible and what is not.

By revealing limiting personal beliefs, such as those concerning our ability to influence our own physical reality, and slowly and steadily replacing them with positive and truthful ones, these obstacles may be overcome. Psyleron customers report that, while this process is difficult, it can have profound impacts on our minds, our self-empowerment, and our ability to direct the courses of our lives.
